Knowledge Showdown ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Display Name — You choose a display name when you first open the app. This name is visible to friends you connect with inside the app.

Anonymous User ID — The app assigns you a random anonymous identifier via Firebase Authentication. This ID is not linked to your real identity, email, or any external account.

Game Data — Your daily scores, answer history, and streak information are stored and associated with your anonymous ID so your leaderboard stats can be displayed to your friends.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, device identifiers, or any other personal information. We do not use advertising networks or sell data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google) — We use Firebase for anonymous authentication and data storage. Firebase may collect limited technical data such as IP addresses as part of its standard operation. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you use the app. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
